New Horizon Assisted Living offers residential options for people with disabilities in Minneapolis. Our home is carefully suited to support a lifetime of changing needs for your loved ones. Our residents will enjoy shared and private spaces to help them live with a higher quality of life. Additionally, we provide custom services to meet our residents’ specific needs. We have programs to help residents begin to live more independently. Our home is open to all between the ages of 18 and 64 and within Twin Cities, Minneapolis, and its neighboring towns. Our Founders
Sarah Morabu, a Registered Nurse with extensive experience in case management and community health, is a proud co-founder of New Horizon Assisted Living. She first graduated from East Stroudsburg University with a bachelor’s in Public Health. For her internship, she competed in the prestigious Summer Public Health Scholars program at Columbia University. There she honed her skills in research and worked at the Harlem Health Promotion Center.
Eliud Amaya comes to New Horizon with over ten years of experience in public education. After attaining his bachelor’s degree, Eli went on to be the founding Social Studies Teacher at Infinity Institute in Jersey City, NJ. There he taught gifted and talented students allowing them to see the world through a different lens by differentiating instruction, a style of teaching that enabled students at different literacy levels and with different skillsets to be able to understand and learn
